Here's some more pictures from our time in New Jersey last week.  Some were taken in the yard, and some were at a newly built park close by.  It's actually at the elementary school where Luke went when he was little!  The boys LOVED it.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving vacation in New Jersey with Luke's family.  It was truly blessed and filled with lots of fun and laughter!  Grammy and Pop put a little basketball hoop in the garage, and that was a very popular activity for both of the boys... wait, I should say all three of the boys since Luke greatly enjoyed it too.  :)  They also broke out their bin of matchbox cars, which made Jonah and Caleb really happy.  I think it's safe to say they spent most of their playtime with the cars, especially because they had a little racetrack set up in the living room.  Luke and Jonah spent a lot of time building different racetracks and testing out the cars on them to see which ones were fastest.

Of course we continued reading books, and it's always fun to go somewhere new and read new books we haven't read before.  Jonah got to do a lot of things with Pop, like feed the birds, empty the bucket at the compost pile, ride in his truck, and sit on the tractor.  We also took some walks outside and enjoyed the fresh air.

On Thanksgiving Day, Mary Anne's side of the family came over, and we had a big meal in the afternoon.  Jonah had a little playmate, Owen, who is also 3 years old, and they had a lot of fun together, especially with the cars.  It was wonderful to see the relatives because it's been a while since we've been here!  Oh, and one special moment was when Jonah got to meet Aunt Colleen... she was the purchaser and giver of his best friend Ellie the Blanket.  He got to personally say thank you for Ellie!!!

It was a great Thanksgiving, and we are really thankful we got to spend it with family and loved ones.  We've kept in our thoughts and prayers all those who we could not be with on Thanksgiving.  Hopefully it was a nice week for everyone else, too!

Last but not least, some pictures we took during our time here:

Here are just a few pictures of Luke cuddling with Caleb and Jonah.  Aren't they so cute?!!!  Oh, and Maria lent us the little chair that Caleb loves so much, and he does sit on it every single day.  He's absolutely loves it.
And yesterday we went over to Joe & Mary Ellen's place to help rake their leaves, and it was so much fun.  I don't know who had more fun, the adults or the kids!  It was a beautiful day out, and we were able to get all the leaves raked up and in a big pile at the back of Joe's yard.  As you'll see from the pictures, things sometimes got out of hand!

So last night we were watching the UNC/Michigan State basketball game, which for the first time ever actually took place on an aircraft carrier.   It was pretty neat.  Well, Jonah was watching with us and making his little comments as usual.  President Obama and his wife attended the game, and before it started he spoke.  While he was speaking, Luke said to Jonah:

"Now, Jonah, that is the president talking.  He's the president of the whole United States.  He's in charge of EVERYTHING."

Jonah stared at the television and replied: "Oh, darn it."

That is not an exaggeration at all.  We couldn't believe it.  He's smarter than we originally thought!!!

I guess I never posted these pictures, but this past week we did paint our pumpkins and carve them.  Jonah did most of the painting, and he did a wonderful job!  He was the one who suggested we get a little pumpkin for Rita, so of course I had to take his suggestion.  On Sunday, Auntie Am and Miss Marlee helped us to carve the pumpkins and roast the seeds, which was so much fun!
